Texas Hold'em Sites

The internet offers users many options in online gambling. Since Texas Hold'em is one of the most popular poker games, almost every poker site has some form of it. Players can choose which site they would like to join based which features are most important to them.

Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt is ranked as one of the best poker sites on the internet offering many varieties of poker, including Texas Hold'em. The site receives a large amount of traffic allowing a player to sit in on a game of Hold'em at any time. The game is available in all types including, Limit, No Limit, and Pot Limit. Full Tilt also hosts competitors of a wide range of skill levels. At the lower stakes, the competition is mainly beginners and is very soft. At the high stakes games, competition is often very fierce. A downside to this site is that it does not offer a downloadable version so game play is done using an internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.

PokerStars

PokerStars is also a huge site for online Texas Hold'em. Like Full Tilt, all varieties of Hold'em are offered and the site receives large amounts of traffic allowing a member to play whenever he or she wishes. It also offers games at various stakes levels for the various levels of experience and the competition ranges from very soft to fierce. This site does offer a free software download enabling smoother game play than on a browser. The main downside is that customer service is available only through email.

Ultimate Bet

Ultimate Bet is a fairly large site which offers players good action in all varieties of Hold'em. The competition is a bit tougher than average but loose games are found at lower stakes levels. The biggest downside to this site is that the software is only available for PC.

Aced Poker

Another good site to play poker is Aced. Like the previous sites, Aced also offers Texas Hold'em as Limit, No Limit, and Pot Limit. A free software download is available to members of this site. It is a smaller site and receives less traffic than Full Tilt and similar sites and its tournaments are smaller. Much of the competition is inexperienced so winning money is not extremely difficult.

Bovada Poker

Bovada Poker is another growing site which offers Texas Hold'em. It offers downloadable software with great customizable graphics but only allows a player to play up to three tables at a time. All varieties of Hold'em are available. The traffic is not as high as in the more established sites but is growing quickly. Most of the competition is soft and found in the lower stakes games.

Absolute Poker

Absolute Poker is another smaller but steadily growing site to play Texas Hold'em in all varieties. It recently merged with another site called Cereus which significantly increased the player volume. The competition is pretty soft and games are mostly in the lower stakes levels although it is becoming a little tougher since the merger with Cereus. The site does not offer live support.

Many poker sites offering Texas Hold'em can be found on the internet, each with its own set of pros and cons. Some of the top sites are Full Tilt, PokerStars, Ultimate Bet, Aced, Bovada Poker, and Absolute Poker. From these, players should be able to select a site which is a good match for them based on the features they consider most important.
